Membership
We know how busy you are, and we built this to work around real schedules, not the other way around. Every one of us on this board is juggling a full plate too. There's no minimum, no experience needed, and no meeting attendance required to be a member, this is simply the easiest way to show your kids, and your school, that you're behind them.

Why Membership Matters
We need strong PTA membership for us to remain a PTA. Becoming a member does not mean you are required to attend meetings or volunteer. It allows you to vote in meetings, stay more closely connected with your school community, and financially support your child's learning experience.

This membership is tax deductible, and it also gives you the opportunity to save money in our community (visit www.pta.org for member benefits like AARP, Hertz, Staples, MetLife, Sylvan, and many others). Dues are broken down as follows: $2.25 to National PTA, $4.00 to MN PTA, and $3.75 to Olson Elementary PTA. We encourage everyone who is able to sign up online, it takes less than 2 minutes. Joining the PTA is its own kind of giving, your dues fund the organization itself.

What Your Membership Actually Funds
Every member matters because every membership adds up to real things kids get to experience. Last year, that meant up to $1,000 per grade level in field trip funding, $100 stipends for every teacher, and up to $4,000 available for specialist grants when a classroom needs something extra. It's also what makes Kindergarten Welcome, the Book Fair, the Carnival, Family Fun Nights, and staff appreciation events possible year after year. None of it happens without members.

When Membership Runs
PTA membership follows the school year, generally July through June, so joining now covers you for the full year ahead.
